[Apply on Caesars Entertainment’s careers site →](https://edmn.fa.us2.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/CX_1/job/87331) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Caesars Entertainment](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/caesars-entertainment/) / Pizza Maker, PizzaCake (Caesars New Orleans) ## Job description The Pizza Maker at PizzaCake is responsible for preparing pizza dough, slicing and chopping toppings like vegetables and meats, and executing customers’ orders considering special requests. ## Responsibilities Skilled in dough mixing and hand-stretching Able to work quickly while under pressure and should be knowledgeable about state and local health regulations that apply to restaurants. Monitor, maintain, and clean the working area and cooking surfaces to make pizzas. Maintain and operate all large-volume cooking equipment such as grills and deep fryers. Prepare all raw materials required for cooking such as cutting all vegetables and preparing the dough. - Make fresh tomato, pesto, and white cream sauces Wash and chop vegetables (for example, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and mushrooms) Cut, slice, and grill meats like chicken, ham, and beef - Monitor food stock and place orders, as needed - Monitor and ensure exact measurement of all ingredients for all food items. - Prepares and stores pizza dough - Prepares pizza sauces - Trains other cooks in the preparation process so all meals are uniform - Checks the quality of pizzas before they’re served to guests - Keeps a positive professional relationship with co-workers, supervisors, and guests at all times. Notify the Supervisor regarding levels of food supplies, inventory, and other materials as needed. Acts in accordance with company policies, restaurant specifications, and food/beverage regulations. Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies. ### Demonstrates Harrah’s Spotlight 5 behaviors Initiates Friendly Greeting, Smiles and Makes Eye Contact, Demonstrates Upbeat and Positive Attitude, Checks for Satisfaction, Provides a Warm Farewell. ## Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 3+ years prior experience as a Pizza Maker or similar role in a restaurant Hands-on experience with preparing and baking pizza dough Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment and brick or stone oven Familiar with all phases of food preparation techniques. Local Health Department sanitation certificate. Understanding of food hygiene Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings Additional Requirements: Loud, fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint. Ability to stand for 8 hours. Normal vision and hearing range Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors. Must be able to handle a heavy business volume in a timely manner. Must be neat and clean in appearance and physically fit to perform the duties required Ability to move throughout the outlet (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time. Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.
