Brookfield is committed to the development of our people through challenging work assignments and exposure to diverse businesses. ### Job Description Initial Responsibilities: Initial responsibilities include managing, reviewing, and participating in the fund operations and reporting process such as: - Review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP – Investment Company Accounting and IFRS Assist with the external audit and tax reporting processes with big 4 firms - Oversee the fund’s operations and c redit facility maintenance - Oversee and manage third-party fund administrator Ownership of the fund’s reporting and compliance processes, including but not limited to GAAP quarterly financial, annual audited financials, tax, and LP/GP reporting Ass i st a n d c o o r d i n ate with o ther d epa r t m ents to fulfill fund operations, reporting requirements and responding to i nqu ir i es f r o m inv e s t o rs - Review management fee and waterfall calculations - Monitor liquidity and manage capital calls, facilitate distributions, and review wires - Strong understanding of fund agreements, tax structures and compliance requirements - Perform tasks related to forecasting process, treasury activities, financial risk assessments and exposures - Oversee investor reporting - Train, mentor, motivate and direct members of the team Other fund’s operations Re qu ir e me n t s: This p o sit i o n o ffers e x c el l ent o p p o rtu n ities in a d y n a m ic en v i r o nm ent. T o qu a lify, ca nd i d at e s m u st h a v e: 5-6 years of experience with a mix of public/private accounting F u n d accounting experience required; PE Real Estate e x p erien c e strongly preferred Hands-on and high standards for accuracy and quality; Thorough and meticulous with extreme focus on details Can work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to manage changing priorities and deadlines - Ability to multitask with good time management skills to meet multiple reporting deadlines Strategic thinker that can think outside the box, focused on efficiency and improving existing processes - Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and financial reporting technical skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills Team oriented with good coaching skills Experience with Investran a plus Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Certified Public Accountant certification strongly preferred Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
