We believe the health and safety of our employees are a top priority. ### Responsibilities As a Mechanical Product Engineering Intern, you will join the Plant Testing & Product Engineering Department and support mechanical product engineering activities across product launch, industrialisation and serial production. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the analysis of technical drawings, engineering specifications, product requirements and 3D models; Assisting with product design reviews, engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives; Supporting the maintenance of Bills of Material, product structures and engineering documentation; Participating in product tear-down, disassembly and material analysis activities; Collecting, organising and analysing technical data to support product validation and failure investigations; Supporting root cause analysis and structured problem-solving activities; Assisting in the review of test results and identification of potential product or material failures; Supporting product recovery, remanufacturing and reprocessing assessments; Collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality, Purchasing, Laboratory and Electrical Engineering teams; Contributing to technical documentation, lessons learned and knowledge-sharing activities. We are looking for someone who is: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related field; Able to interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications and product requirements; Familiar with CAD and 3D engineering tools; Interested in product development, industrialisation, validation and manufacturing; Analytical, detail-oriented and motivated to solve technical problems; Interested in materials, failure analysis and root cause investigation; Comfortable working with technical data and preparing clear analyses; Organised, proactive and able to manage different priorities; A strong team player with good communication skills; Comfortable working in multidisciplinary and international environments; Fluent in English, both written and spoken. ### Nice to Have Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, or GD&T; Familiarity with Bills of Material, ERP systems or product-data management tools; Basic understanding of product validation methodologies and engineering change processes; Knowledge of material properties and common failure mechanisms, such as fracture, wear, corrosion or degradation. - Internal Use Only: Indirect Hourly Global Terms of Use and Privacy Statement Carefully read the BorgWarner Privacy Policy before using this website.
