Above all, employees will be provided with the opportunity to seek, speak, and listen within the organization. ### Position Responsibilities - Prepares exterior surface of aircraft for painting - Makes necessary patterns, performs layout and applies prescribed primers, paints and finishes to exterior of aircraft - Applies aircraft finishes and external markings to aircraft sections This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC). This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. ### Aerospace Technician and Mechanic Aptitude Virtual Job Tryout To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration. ### Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) - Ability to work variable shifts, with the understanding that your assigned shift will not be confirmed until after training - Ability to comply with wearing fall protection gear, safety equipment and masks - Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel - Ability to carry/lift up to 10-35 pounds. - Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals - 1+ years of painting experience in aircraft, automotive, industrial, or general painting Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 3+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience - 3+ year aircraft painting experience or automotive Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process. ### Drug Free Workplace Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
