[Apply on Barrick Mining’s careers site →](https://ehkn.fa.ca2.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/CX_1001/job/241590) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Barrick Mining](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/barrick-mining/) / Carlin - HVAC Technician ## Job description ### Position Description Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an HVAC Technician to join our team. ### Responsibilities Safely and effectively perform preventative maintenance on industrial, commercial and residential HVAC systems Safely and effectively diagnose HVAC problems and concerns Safely and effectively repair HVAC systems Safely and effectively operate HVAC equipment and tools - Work closely with all team members on completing projects - Work closely with Plumbing technicians to perform needed water supply, ventilation and repairs Accurately read schematics for HVAC systems - Repair and braze copper lines associated with HVAC systems Preform other duties as assigned Qualifications: High School diploma or GED preferred HVAC certification preferred. 2 years previous HVAC experience is preferred Valid drivers’ license is required - 4 years Mining experience is preferred. - Ability to lift and carry at least 90 pounds required - Perform job responsibilities with integrity under minimal to no supervision required - Proven attention to detail with a high level of accuracy required - Excellent organizational, time management skills required - Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently required - Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills, with a courteous and pleasant customer service focus required - Excellent verbal, written, and radio communication skills required Capability to multi-task, self-manage and self-motivate required - Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards required Willingness to work weekends and possible overtime required Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions required What We Can Offer You A comprehensive compensation package including bonuses benefits, and stock purchase plans where applicable - Ability to make a difference and lasting impact - Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team An Opportunity to transform Traditional Mining into the future of Digital Mining Opportunities to grow and learn with the industry colleagues are endless Access to a variety of career opportunities across Nevada Gold Mine locations Nevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer Qualified candidates who meet the required experience and technical criteria may be eligible for relocation assistance (for out-of-area hires) and/or a sign-on bonus upon joining Nevada Gold Mines About Nevada Gold Mines Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements. The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018. Three of these assets are Tier One gold mines: Barrick’s Cortez; the combination of Barrick’s Goldstrike and Newmont Goldcorp’s Carlin; and the combination of Barrick’s Turquoise Ridge and Newmont Goldcorp’s Twin Creeks. In addition, Barrick’s Goldrush-Fourmile project has the potential to become the fourth Tier One asset in this portfolio. The new JV is expected to generate around $5 billion in cost savings over the next five years. Nevada Gold Mines is operated by Barrick.
