Monitoring data quality and records metrics and compliance with standards across the organization. Identification and addressing of data and records management risks and gaps. Development and implementation of a records management programme that ensures the proper identification, classification, storage, retention, retrieval and disposal of records. Development and implementation of a data governance strategy that aligns with the bank's overall data management strategy and business objectives. Provision of Group wide guidance and training on Data and Records Management standard requirements. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions. Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function. Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda. Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done. Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function. Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy. Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively. Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience. Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with: Building and maintaining data pipelines and curated datasets for reporting and insight generation. ETL tooling such as Alteryx, Glue, DBT or equivalent platforms. Hands-on delivery of visualisation tools and reporting solutions, including Tableau or equivalent tooling. Requirements documentation and clear communication, with the ability to work independently with stakeholders. Desirable skills / good to have: Cloud data engineering experience, including AWS services and modern data ecosystem components (e.g. Snowflake). Strong SQL and data modelling capability, including experience of managing and operating SQL databases. Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark/Apache Spark, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipeline, with strong knowledge of DevOps best practices. Data orchestration and workflow tooling, together with modern lake and lakehouse patterns. Exposure to process modelling tools and methods, including IBM Blueworks Live or BPMN-based tooling. You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as experience with data reporting, as well as job-specific skillsets.
