[Apply on AXA Group’s careers site →](https://careers-en-axa.icims.com/jobs/27879/login) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [AXA Group](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/axa-group/) / Assistant Manager / Senior Officer, FI & Direct Commercial Business ## Job description ### Responsibilities - Manage the underwriting for a mixed portfolio, covering both new and renewal business for direct commercial clients and renewal business for bancassurance partners, ensuring profitable growth and high retention - Lead the end-to-end new business process for direct clients in an effective and efficient manner, from initial inquiry and risk assessment to quotation and successful onboarding Proactively drive business growth by identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, and by leading the tender process from identifying opportunities in the market through to quotation and final submission - Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and bancassurance partners to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term partnership - Prepare and analyze Management Information (MI) reports on portfolio performance, providing actionable insights to support strategic business decisions - Support the Direct Commercial Team Manager with strategic initiatives aimed at driving team growth and achieving business targets - Ensure all underwriting activities and client interactions adhere strictly to internal compliance policies, regulatory requirements, and data security standards Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in insurance, business, or a related field. - Minimum - 5 years of experience in commercial GI underwriting or business development, including at least - 1 year as a supervisor Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Officer - Strong technical knowledge of non-marine GI underwriting (experience with marine underwriting is a plus) Professional insurance qualifications (e.g., IIQE Paper 1 & 2, ACII, Senior Associate of ANZIIF) are highly preferred - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a mindset for process improvement and workflow streamlining Self-motivated and proactive, with exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build strong client relationships - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese About AXA Hong Kong and Macau AXA Hong Kong and Macau is a member of the AXA Group, a leading global insurer with presence in 52 markets and serving 92 million customers worldwide.
