In this responsible position, you will have a key role in monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, SOX compliance and the management of our Supplier Claims Team. ### Your responsibilities Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements Independent preparation and execution of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for four companies of the Avnet EMEA Group Receipt, preparation and analysis of business data Calculation of provisions as well as posting and reversal of journal entries Status reporting to specialist departments and controlling Ensuring VAT and Intrastat compliance and processing corresponding enquiries SOX compliance (4 companies) Extracting and preparing data for SOX reports Uploading reports to the SOX reporting tool Uploading reconciliations to an additional SOX tracking tool on a quarterly basis Contact person for internal and external auditors Processing ad hoc enquiries in the context of internal and external audits Management of the Ship & Debit and Supplier Claims team You will take on the technical and disciplinary management of a five-person team responsible for industry-specific processes in the area of supplier claims Ensuring weekly, monthly and ad hoc claims to suppliers Checking the receipt of credit notes and reconciling them with outstanding receivables Analysing and clarifying major discrepancies Preparing month-end reports, including aged claims reports Your profile: Several years of experience in finance and accounting In-depth knowledge of SAP FI, ideally also MM and S&D Experience in SOX compliance is an advantage Understanding of controlling is desirable Very good written and spoken English German skills are an advantage - Strong communication and leadership skills Structured, analytical and independent way of working We offer: A responsible management position with an international focus Close cooperation with Asset Procurement, Sales - Support and Controlling Comprehensive training – initial focus on finance processes Collaboration on cross-departmental business projects International travel (approx. 1–2 trips per year within the EU and to our shared service location in Serbia – valid passport required) Attractive remuneration package Company car at management level ​As an international company operating in a dynamic market environment, Avnet offers exciting development opportunities, short decision-making processes and a strongly networked working environment within the EMEA region.
