[Apply on Atmos Energy’s careers site →](https://atmosenergy.wd108.myworkdayjobs.com/External_Career_Site/job/Texas---Prosper/Operations-Assistant_JR14284) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Atmos Energy](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/atmos-energy/) / Operations Assistant ## Job description THIS ### JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT ATTEMPT TO LIST ALL OF THE ### DUTIES THAT ARE OR MAY BE PERFORMED IN THIS ### POSITION Primary Duties - Monitors and manages Meter Reading Routes to assure customer billing. - Generates and maintains various logs and reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for construction and service. - Receives customer service orders taken by Customer Support Center personnel (BPEMS). - Initiates and maintains call scheduling of technicians. - Coordinates and manages divisional initiatives for safety and financial improvement. - Assists construction activities through scheduling field construction coordinators, preconstruction and growth project meetings. - Track and manage the fleet database. - Data entry, coding, validation, and processing of contractor invoices. - May initiate, receive, and confirm purchase orders and requisitions. - Assists service, construction, and compliance personnel by communicating pertinent data and other information related to various situations. - Responsible for ordering and inventory of office and safety supplies as well as assisting with ordering uniforms. - Provides administrative and clerical support to field operations. - Performs other related duties as required. ### MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE LEVEL: High school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and two years of experience in customer service or a closely related field. ### COMMUNICATION SKILLS Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers to obtain and/or provide basic types of factual information. ### NUMERIC SKILLS Requires the ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. ### COMPUTER SKILLS Requires proficient computer skills for data entry, reporting, reference, and/or retrieval tasks. A general working knowledge of Microsoft office suite applications. ### WORK CONDITIONS Works in an office environment. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning, and/or lifting.
