About This Internship Arch’s 8-week summer internship program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the insurance industry. It provides challenging learning experiences that serve as a foundation for interns to explore their career choices and to develop professional skills. Working alongside some of the most talented members of the specialty insurance industry, interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of the field, participate in learning activities and receive ongoing feedback. ### About This Role Participate in education sessions and gain exposure to all aspects of reinsurance claims. Gain experience in the general claims reinsurance process and methodology. Assist the team with various claims projects and provide support as needed. Attend claims team meetings. Complete Arch University courses. Work on a capstone project, including an individual presentation on a summer project and a group presentation focused on solving a business need. ### Qualifications Actively completing area of study in Insurance & Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Pre-Law, or relevant program. Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher. College level - current Sophomore student with expected graduation dates of December 2028 – May 2029. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and customer service mindset. Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner. Team player who collaborates effectively. Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment. Location & Work Arrangement The program dates are June 2 – July 23, 2027. This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 4 days onsite and 1 day from home. This position is in Morristown, NJ. Relocation and housing assistance is not provided for this role. Timeline Arch summer internship positions will be unposted when filled. Pay For individuals assigned to or hired to work in Morristown, NJ, the hourly rate is $26 as of the time of posting. The breadth in the range exists to accommodate students in specialized programs such as actuarial candidates and graduate students. Any actual rate offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, along with the education & qualifications of the candidate. The above range may be modified in the future.
