This position provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while developing technical skills in troubleshooting, data analysis, documentation, RMA evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives. ### What you will do Assist engineers with manufacturing and process improvement projects Perform Returned Material Authorization (RMA) evaluations, including inspection of returned products, documentation of findings, failure analysis, and support of corrective action activities. Collect, organize, and analyze production and quality data. Support the development and maintenance of work instructions, setup sheets, process documentation, and engineering records. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities. Assist with equipment validation, testing, and troubleshooting. Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct time studies and workflow analysis to identify productivity and efficiency improvements. Assist with tooling, fixture, and machine improvement projects. Assist in investigating customer complaints and internal quality issues by gathering data, documenting observations, and supporting root cause analysis efforts. Support new product introductions and engineering change implementation activities. Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental procedures. ### What we are looking for Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments. Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production floor. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
