We are recognized as a leading manufacturer of brushed and brushless DC motors, stepper motor based linear actuators, precision Acme lead screw and anti-backlash nut assemblies, linear rail and guide systems, gearmotors, drives and complete custom automation sub-systems. We are currently seeking a student intern for our Milford, NH facility in the OMNI Nut department. This rewarding internship will have a focus on machining and learning manufacturing processes. You will gain real world experience and knowledge related to various metal and plastic machining processes and the use of common measuring tools and measurement techniques. What will you do? - Load raw materials and unload completed parts - Operate multiple machines simultaneously - Perform inspection of own parts and co-worker’s work - Use measurement tools i.e. snap gage, digital calipers, micrometers, optical comparator and other measuring instruments Be able to run select machines in department Utilize QMS, MAX & SPC data bases as needed - Perform preventative maintenance on equipment including top-off lubricants Cleaning responsibilities including equipment, chip removal, and work area - Follow established procedures as well as quality and safety standards - Maintain safe work environment - Work under supervision - Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor What are we looking for? High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Ideal candidates will have completed - 1 year of engineering or pre-engineering college level coursework Basic understanding of machining practices Effective communication and interpersonal skills - Strong problem-solving skills Motivated and shows willingness to learn Team player who works in cooperation with others - Demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude - Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs. Come join our team!
