Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board! ### Why you'll love this job The Managing Director, Division Finance oversees all aspects of the division operating and headcount planning process and coordinates budget and financial results with Corporate Finance, Division Senior Management, and Corporate Accounting to ensure compliance with corporate financial guidelines, policies, and procedures. ### What you'll do This list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations. - Oversees financial planning and budgeting for the organization - Coordinates and prepares annual operating and headcount budgets - Coordinates with the division and Corporate Finance regarding various cost control, strategic, and financial initiatives; monitors and reports monthly spending performance - Assists division management in the preparation and analysis of headcount, capital, and operating expense requests - Collaborates with external and internal customers on invoice issues - Reviews/approves All you'll need for success ### Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline, or equivalent experience/training; Advanced Degree (MBA) or Advanced Certification (CPA) preferred - 10 years of progressive leadership experience managing cross-departmental team - 10 years of experience with financial processes and systems - Prior experience with budget tracking, variance reporting, cost analysis, and developing & reporting performance metrics ### Skills, Licenses & Certifications - Demonstrates the highest standards or personal ethics and integrity - Ability to think strategically, negotiate skillfully, digest complex details, and use sound judgment & initiative in making decisions - Exceptional problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking ability - Exceptional team building, leadership, and decision-making skills - Ability to explain financial and accounting concepts to non-financial audiences - Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills and build collaborative relationships with, and consensus amongst, multiple stakeholders with varying points of view - Ability to coach, mentor, and serve as a role model for all Finance team members - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with ability to handle complex topics comfortably and to interact effectively with all levels, both verbally and written - Proven ability to build and facilitate relationships at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally - Ability to be flexible in rapidly changing conditions and priorities, and to redirect managers and teams toward new objectives; ability to embrace ambiguity and enable clarity - Proficiency in financial software, project management and BI tools including the Microsoft Office Suite, Hyperion, Alteryx, and SAP ### What you'll get Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: ### Travel Perks - Ready to explore the world?
