With approximately 7/8 of all enterprise workloads still running on-premises and mainframe, we are at the center of one of AWS's most significant growth opportunities. We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer who is excited to build at the frontier of AI — an engineer who wants to design and ship the autonomous agents that reason about complex infrastructure and software, make intelligent decisions, and execute large-scale migrations with minimal human intervention. This is a rare opportunity to do hands-on engineering on an AI-native platform as it takes shape. ### Key job responsibilities - Design, build, and own major components of our Agentic AI migration platform, where autonomous agents discover, plan, and execute data center migrations. - Implement multi-agent capabilities that leverage foundation models, chain-of-thought reasoning, and tool-use patterns to solve concrete migration challenges. - Contribute to AI-powered network transformation features, using generative models to analyze, replicate, and optimize enterprise network topologies. - Collaborate closely with engineers and product partners within your team, contributing to design reviews and helping maintain architectural coherence across our agent frameworks. - Improve the autonomy and accuracy of agentic orchestration for migration of servers, storage, networks, and applications through iterative development, testing, and measurement. - Raise the bar on engineering quality through code reviews, operational excellence, and AI-native development practices; mentor junior engineers and interns, and contribute to a culture of rapid experimentation, spec-driven engineering, and high-velocity releases on Brownfield projects. ## At a glance - Posted by the employer: Oct 15, 2026 - First seen by OpenNash: Oct 18, 2026 - Last checked: Oct 18, 2026 - Listed for: 3 days - Location: US, TX, Dallas[Apply on Amazon’s careers site →](https://www.amazon.jobs/en/jobs/10580484/sr-software-development-engineer-aws-transform) ## More jobs at Amazon ### [Salesforce Developer II, AWS, AWS AFX Planning Tools](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/3d8e019b116046fca2a0/) US, TX, Dallas ### [Software Dev Engineer II, AWS AFX Planning Tools](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/24328073f12c4a9d149e/) US, TX, Dallas ### [Software Development Engineer, IDEAS - Atlas](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/80adc29d7511882d4102/) US, TX, Dallas ### [Software Development Engineer II, PXT, HAIEX](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/ddc258c2f815d84c4a1a/) US, TX, Dallas ### [AMS Cloud Architect III, AWS Managed Services (AMS)](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/573620420805df9af27e/) US, TX, Dallas ## Similar jobs at other companies ### [Lead Software Engineer - AWS/SRE Engineer](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/jpmorganchase/jobs/b82e6943190d67b8219e/) JPMorganChase · OH, United States ### [Senior Software Engineer, Contact Center Platforms (Java/AWS/Amazon Connect)](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/ntt/jobs/24a713cd9cf528ae7fd4/) NTT · Plano, TX, US, United States ### [Software Development Engineer](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/fortinet/jobs/28951e39aa65fab8d748/) Fortinet · Sunnyvale, CA, United States ### [Software Development Engineer (GUI)](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/fortinet/jobs/bb39f255ec65bd5058b8/) Fortinet · Sunnyvale, CA, United States [Jobs in Dallas, TX](/locations/us/tx/dallas/)[Jobs in Texas](/locations/us-tx/)[Software Engineering jobs](/functions/software-engineering/) OpenNash lists jobs from employers’ own careers sites and does not handle applications.
