It brings AI agents, enterprise knowledge, and everyday business tools together in one place, so people can go from question to action without switching contexts. Quick is one of Amazon's most strategic products, it is live with enterprise customers, and it is growing fast. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer who is excited to build generative AI products that customers use every day. You will design and ship features end to end, working across customer-facing experiences, distributed services, and the cloud infrastructure behind them. Experience with generative AI is a plus, but strong engineering fundamentals and a desire to learn quickly matter most. ### Why you will love this role - Build, not maintain: Quick is in customers' hands, but many of the hardest problems in agentic AI are still being solved, and you will help solve them. - Broad scope: You will work across the stack and see your features through from design to production. - Enterprise scale with startup speed: We ship frequently to customers with high expectations for availability, performance, and security. - Growth: You will work alongside experienced engineers, applied scientists, and product leaders, with mentorship and room to take on more ownership as you grow. ### Key job responsibilities - Design, build, test, and deploy features for Amazon Quick, from customer-facing experiences to the backend services and infrastructure behind them. - Build highly available, scalable, and secure distributed systems on AWS. - Work with product managers, designers, applied scientists, and other engineers to turn customer needs into working software. - Own the quality and operational health of what you build, including testing, monitoring, and on-call. - Use generative AI tools in your daily work, and help improve the quality and reliability of AI-powered features. - Participate in code and design reviews, and mentor other engineers. You will work with a variety of languages and technologies, such as Python, TypeScript, and Java, on AWS. ### About the team Amazon values diverse experiences.
