We are growing and seek a talented, enthusiastic, and motivated SDE to join our Fleet Management team in North Reading, MA. As an engineer on the Fleet Management team, you are a key member of a diverse, collaborative team of engineers who deliver highly scalable robotic systems. You will support and lead the design and development of services which allocate and assign tasks to a fleet of autonomous vehicles, and track the state of resources associated with such fleets. Our team’s software paves the way for integration of autonomous vehicles in the Amazon fulfillment network. ### Key job responsibilities - Architect, design, and implement robotic applications and infrastructure. - Influence the team's strategy and contribute to long-term vision and roadmap. - Work with stakeholders across the organization to iterate on design and implementation. - Maintain high standards by participating in reviews, designing for fault tolerance and operational excellence, and creating mechanisms for continuous improvement. - Prototype and test concepts or features, both through simulation and emulators and with live robotic equipment - Work directly with customers and partners to test prototypes and incorporate feedback - Mentor other engineers on the team. ### A day in the life Amazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children. Our mission is to deliver autonomous navigation software that utilizes state-of-the-art sensor technologies and algorithms to enable safe and efficient operation of autonomous mobile robots throughout the Amazon fulfillment and transportation network. We take this mission seriously and work hard to achieve it, but we have a lot of fun along the way.
