You'll pioneer industry-first approaches to conversational AI in advertising, building large-scale, low-latency distributed systems and ML infrastructure that shape the future of how businesses connect with customers on Amazon. The Conversational Ad Experiences (CAX) team within Sponsored Products and Brands (SPB) focuses on LLM-powered sponsored shopping experiences that help merchants, retail vendors, and brand owners grow incremental sales through native product advertising. The team is working on multiple industry-first projects — ambiguous, challenging, and high-impact. You'll drive major product and engineering initiatives, partner with the science team to implement LLM models in production and contribute to LLMOps, and build the data processing pipelines that power it all. These are greenfield problems where you'll set the technical direction and establish the engineering practices that scale as the product grows. ### Key job responsibilities - Own the architectural direction for conversational ad experiences on the Search page, making foundational technical decisions that shape the product long-term - Build large-scale, low-latency distributed systems and ML infrastructure that power LLM-driven advertising experiences in production - Partner with the science team to implement LLM models in production and contribute to LLMOps — driving the technical strategy for how models are deployed, monitored, and improved - Pioneer new approaches to conversational AI and natural language interactions in advertising, evaluating and adopting emerging technologies - Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, science, and product teams to integrate AI-driven solutions across the advertising ecosystem - Design and operate scalable systems that deliver personalized ad experiences to hundreds of millions of shoppers - Mentor engineers, establish engineering best practices, and raise the technical bar across the team ### About the team The Sponsored Products and Brands team at Amazon Ads is re-imagining the advertising landscape through generative AI technologies, revolutionizing how millions of customers discover products and engage with brands across Amazon.com and beyond.
