You'll draft and negotiate critical commercial agreements, provide strategic legal guidance to business leaders, and help navigate complex regulatory landscapes while directly influencing how we serve millions of customers globally. ### Key job responsibilities - Provide legal counsel to business leaders and cross-functional teams on commercial transactions. - Research and advise on legal issues relevant to cloud computing services, including data processing terms, industry-specific requirements and evolving commercial frameworks for cloud services. - Collaborate with business development teams to support customer engagements and help structure deals that meet business and legal objectives. - Manage a portfolio of customer relationships and commercial matters with increasing independence, including leading negotiations, advising on contract terms, and developing creative solutions to complex deal issues. - Partner with other legal teams (intellectual property, privacy, products, compliance) to deliver coordinated legal guidance on cross-cutting legal matters. ### A day in the life As a Corporate Counsel supporting Amazon Web Services, you'll engage in a variety of meaningful legal work that directly impacts our business operations. Your day might include drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with enterprise customers, advising a business partner on how to structure a new commercial engagement, or collaborating with product and business teams to address regulatory questions. You'll collaborate closely with business stakeholders and other legal teams to deliver practical, business-oriented legal advice on time-sensitive matters. Throughout your work, you'll develop expertise in cloud computing services while building relationships across our organization. ### About the team We are part of the AWS Sales and Marketing Legal team, supporting AWS's industry business units and go-to-market teams. Our attorneys serve as trusted legal advisors to business leaders across a range of industries, helping structure and negotiate commercial relationships with some of AWS's largest and most strategic customers.
