The platform is used by millions of merchants to expose customers to new products or new offerings on existing products. Using massively parallel processing and proprietary techniques, millions of updates to details, prices, inventory levels, and relationships are processed in real time to keep Amazon's catalog fresh. Imagine that on any given day your solutions bring billions of experiences to customers around the globe; that is the reality on the Item & Offer Platform team. The Item and Offer Platform team is an agile, fast-moving team driving the future of this central piece of Amazon's shopping experience. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) to shape that future. In this role, you will participate in all parts of the software development process, from collaborating with customers on design to executing that design in a scalable and extensible way. You will have the opportunity to solve hard computer science problems and help the business every day. Successful candidates are passionate about translating high-level, ambiguous business goals to software platforms that enable multiple businesses. You are passionate about taking initiative, delivering extensible, on-time solutions, and being a part of high-performing teams. ## At a glance - Posted by the employer: Sep 28, 2026 - First seen by OpenNash: Oct 11, 2026 - Last checked: Oct 18, 2026 - Listed for: 20 days - Location: US, WA, Seattle[Apply on Amazon’s careers site →](https://www.amazon.jobs/en/jobs/10562446/software-development-engineer-distributed-services) ## More jobs at Amazon ### [AWS Software Development Manager, Elastic Load Balancing](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/8bc81eb90a02a81cc9b1/) US, WA, Seattle ### [Applied Science Manager, Computer Vision, Perception Science, Prime Air Vehicle Software](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/f8f3afcff56816849d13/) US, WA, Seattle ### [Developer Experience Engineer, AWS Developer Experience](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/fbd46cd6cad9f0b7a4b1/) US, WA, Seattle ### [Developer Marketing Manager, Developer Marketing](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/d8c4520c33f205cd0159/) US, WA, Seattle ### [Director of Software Development](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/cff67c726a21a2a83042/) US, WA, Seattle ## Similar jobs at other companies ### [Principal Software Engineer, Distributed Systems](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/microsoft/jobs/1b16c6498ece67525f6f/) Microsoft · United States, Washington, Redmond ### [Sr Lead Software Engineer - Distributed Systems](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/jpmorganchase/jobs/409bb0e364c362fbdd94/) JPMorganChase · Jersey City, NJ, United States ### [Rust Software Engineer Lead, Distributed Ledger](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/fidelity-national-information-fis/jobs/c6f90f7579f33c6062e9/) Fidelity National Information (FIS) · New York, NY, United States of America ### [Software Development Engineer (Distributed Systems) - Cloud](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/apple/jobs/ad349f276a5466c0eef5/) Apple · Cupertino, United States of America ### [Software Development Engineer(Distributed Systems)](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/workday/jobs/a4b61875d01cc2dcde5f/) Workday · USA, CA, Pleasanton OpenNash lists jobs from employers’ own careers sites and does not handle applications.
