You'll build automated security mechanisms to monitor and protect AWS interactions with customers, developing elegant solutions to complex business problems while following security engineering best practices. As a Security Engineer at AWS, you'll contribute across multiple domains within Professional Services Security and throughout Amazon. You'll mentor junior engineers, serve as a security thought leader, and foster constructive dialogue while seeking continuous process improvements. You're expected to have deep expertise in at least one specialty while maintaining broad Information Security knowledge across technical areas. This role combines troubleshooting, technical, and communication skills with opportunities to handle diverse tasks including project and software development work. You'll gain new security skills and advance your career as you grow within the organization. ### Key job responsibilities - Automate security tools and develop security solutions - Conduct application security reviews and threat modeling - Design secure architectures and provide security guidance - Deliver security metrics and drive continuous improvements - Mentor teams through security training and documentation ### A day in the life - Enhance automation to improve operational efficiency and build insights from existing data - Identify and prioritize automation opportunities across diverse tool landscapes and architectures - Collaborate with Professional Services teams on security mechanisms and compliance standards - Contribute to security training, best practices documentation, and policies for regulated data - Implement scalable audit processes for security controls and compliance standards This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen. 10042 ### About the team AWS Professional Services combines AI-enhanced delivery, specialized solutions, deep industry expertise, and dedicated centers of delivery excellence (VMware, SAP, and more) to help organizations design, build, migrate, and manage their AWS workloads and applications.
