Doubling down on our recent innovations in the Advertising and Stores businesses, the team is designing the next-generation of applications with a singular mission: make privacy compliance automatic, provable, unified and scalable across every system across Amazon, in every jurisdiction where Amazon operates. This is a Tier-1, high-throughput, low-latency system that will drive policy enforcement for hundreds, then thousands of services, processing billions of transactions worldwide. We are refining previous implementations and creating extensible solutions for the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. The tech stack is Java on native AWS, and the startup ethos is real: small team, greenfield architecture, outsized impact, and high leadership visibility. You're looking for an opportunity to ideate, design, build, and deliver technology solutions at an incedible scale. You look at problems holistically and thrive on cutting through complexity to deliver simple, maintainable solutions. You want to work on real problems that demand creative thinking and deep understanding of the problem space. You challenge yourself and others to constantly find better approaches. This role requires you to switch nimbly between strategic and tactical work to achieve technical, business, and customer trust goals.
