The executive will report to the Global Head of Record Label Licensing & Strategic Partnerships and lead global licensing negotiations and strategy, including leading negotiations with major record labels, driving/building complex models to forecast business metrics, evaluating the impacts of negotiated royalty structures and proactively performing analytic deep dives across a variety of key performance indicators. The executive will maintain and drive Amazon's relationships with key major record labels and will be responsible for developing content strategy, securing new content and additional rights, and performing competitive monitoring. ### Key job responsibilities - Determine (major) record label licensing strategy in relation to new projects and initiatives - Develop and maintain strong relationships with key record labels at decision-making level - Negotiate highly complex license agreements to secure all necessary rights from record labels, and expand existing agreements as needed - Perform analysis to quantify the impact of royalty models, and other terms that are negotiated terms with record labels globally - Collaborating with the legal team to review contractual terms and conditions relating to licensing agreements - Partner with internal Finance/Content Analytics teams to evaluate our deal terms across service tiers and territories - Audit business metrics, perform deep dive analysis on problems to understand root causes and making decisions based on data - Monitor the competitive landscape to help inform Amazon Music’s strategic priorities and expansion opportunities ### About the team Amazon Music is an immersive audio entertainment service that deepens connections between fans, artists, and creators.
