The right candidate possesses extensive media relations experience, is an expert communicator adept at synthesizing and translating complex concepts, including technology, into broadly digestible information. This leader will be an experienced people manager, has successfully delivered executive communications programs, and can exercise high-judgment decisions while acting quickly and collaboratively. The candidate must have proven experience managing communications functions in India, including managing agencies and budgets. They will partner across the AWS business and Amazon to develop external communications strategies and best practices, as well as manage issues, provide strategic counsel, and execute a variety of strategic communications campaigns. This role reports directly to the Head of Communications, APJC and is a key member of the AWS Communications APJC leadership team. You will partner closely with Communications peers locally, regionally, and globally to drive a cohesive and ambitious communications agenda across the region. The ideal candidate enjoys diving deep into and using technology, as well as communicating how technology is shaping and redefining the world we live in.
