## Job description

The Senior Learning Experience Designer for Certification & eLearning designs and develops Amazon Ads certification exam content and self-paced eLearning courses for the Amazon Ads Growth Marketing Education team. This role applies the ADDIE framework to create high-quality assessments, interactive learning modules, and supporting educational content that enables advertisers, partners, and internal teams to build proficiency with Amazon Ads products.

The ideal candidate combines strong instructional design skills with certification assessment expertise and leverages AI to accelerate content creation at scale.

Key job responsibilities

### Needs analysis
- scope curriculum requirements, identify performance gaps, define learning objectives

### ADDIE framework
- guide all phases from scoping through delivery and iteration

### Certification exam item writing
- multiple choice, scenario-based, and performance-based questions using psychometric principles
- eLearning course development: interactive modules, knowledge checks, and practice assessments (Storyline, Rise, Evolve, Synthesia)

### Storyboarding
- content structure, instructional flow, visual direction, interactivity

### Scripting
- video, audio narration, scenario-based content with visual recommendations

### SME collaboration
- gather source content, validate accuracy, align with product updates and certification standards

### Content translation
- simplify complex advertising/tech concepts for target audiences

### Content audits
- assess existing certification and eLearning content for gaps and repurposing opportunities

### Project management
- manage timelines and deliverables across concurrent projects

### Data-driven iteration
- analyze learner performance data to improve content effectiveness

### AI acceleration
- leverage AI to speed up content creation, quality audits, and production efficiency

### A day in the life

At its core, this role is about designing and developing the learning content that gets advertisers certified on Amazon Ads. You'll build eLearning courses from scratch, write certification exam items, and create storyboards that map out every interaction and visual. Most days look like collaborating with SMEs to get the technical details right, scripting video modules, or refining assessment questions so they actually measure what matters.

You'll review learner data to spot what's not landing and iterate quickly. Some days you'll go beyond the usual, using AI to speed up content production or exploring motion graphics to make learning engaging.

### About the team

The Certifications & eLearning team sits within Amazon Ads Growth Marketing and is responsible for building the education programs that help advertisers and partners succeed with Amazon Ads.

We develop certification exams, self-paced eLearning courses, product launch training, and advanced skills content across a diverse portfolio of projects a year. The work spans the full Amazon Ads product suite, from sponsored ads to programmatic and measurement. We move fast, collaborate closely with product and sales teams, and are leaning into AI to raise the bar on how we build and deliver learning at scale.
