## Job description

Amazon’s Last Mile Technology has the operational focus of providing new and different technologies to solve challenges in the last mile delivery space. We want to ensure a top-in-class customer experience from the time a customer places an order on Amazon.com to the time it lands in the customer’s hands. It is in our makeup to drive true innovation in this space.

Building on that concept, one of the key delivery systems to support Last Mile is Amazon Flex. Amazon Flex aims to delight customers by delivering millions of packages faster than ever before. But this is not just benefiting our end customers. with Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss while earning money delivering ultra-fast orders. You will own software in all phases of the software life-cycle from architecture and design through deployment and release. You will learn about Amazon’s logistics network, interact with other teams to build optimized systems, and have autonomy to deliver software which impacts multiple delivery provider programs.

### Key job responsibilities

1. Design and develop scalable software solutions ensuring high performance and reliability

2. Contribute significantly to the full software development lifecycle including scoping, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance while demonstrating operational excellence

3. Solve complex, previously unsolved challenges in retail environments by applying strong technical design skills and creating innovative solutions that enhance the customer experience

4. Actively participate in the code review process, providing meaningful feedback to team members and ensuring high-quality software development standards

5. Collaborate across Sr Engineers, Product Managers and Engineering Managers to develop Last Mile tech solutions

6. Demonstrate excellence in verbal and written communication and independently deliver quality results in a fast paced environment.
