## Job description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

We are the DCO Program team within Data Center Operations (DCO). Our team supports a broad range of programs essential to data center operations — including education and talent development, operational support for stable and reliable data center operations, and community engagement activities. We are one of the most active and dynamic teams in the organization, constantly planning, building, and executing initiatives that make a real impact across the business and the community.

### Position Overview

This role focuses on Learning & Development (L&D) — one of the most exciting and diverse areas within our team. You will gain hands-on experience across a wide spectrum of L&D responsibilities, including data center talent development through industry-academia partnerships, social contribution education programs, new hire onboarding and training, and corporate language program management. This is a unique position where you can explore and grow your career in L&D while making a meaningful impact on both our workforce and the broader community.

Key job responsibilities

### Industry-Academia Partnership & Talent Pipeline Programs
- Operate and develop industry-academia collaboration education programs to build a sustainable talent pipeline for data center operations roles
- Design and iterate on training curricula for data center talent development, collaborating with subject matter experts across operations and engineering teams
- Manage end-to-end program operations including partner institution coordination, candidate recruitment, curriculum development, evaluation, and program improvement
- Coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders (Recruiting, HR, Operations, Engineering) and external partners (universities, technical colleges, training institutions) to ensure program alignment and effectiveness
- Track program metrics (e.g., candidate conversion rates, training completion, time-to-productivity) and drive continuous improvement

### Corporate Language Program Management
- Own and operate the in-house English language program for employees who need English proficiency support
- Manage relationships with external language education vendors, including vendor selection, contract management, program scheduling, and quality assurance
- Design program structure (levels, cohorts, schedules) based on employee needs assessment
- Monitor program participation, progress, and outcomes; report on ROI and effectiveness

### New Hire Onboarding & Training Support
- Operate and support new hire training and onboarding programs, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for all new employees joining the data center operations team
- Coordinate and facilitate New Hire Orientation (NHO) sessions and manage cohort-based onboarding programs across multiple sites
- Maintain and continuously improve onboarding materials, training content, and support resources (e.g., new hire Q&A channels, buddy programs)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align onboarding programs with organizational needs and employee feedback

### Career Mentoring Program for Students
- Plan and execute a career mentoring program targeting students interested in the data center industry
- Develop mentoring frameworks, session content, and engagement models that provide meaningful exposure to data center career paths
- Recruit and coordinate internal mentors from across the organization
- Build partnerships with universities and career development organizations to expand program reach

### External Training Sourcing & Operations
- Research and identify external training programs, courses, and resources that meet the organization's skill development needs
- Evaluate and select qualified external training providers, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate program logistics
- Operate and manage external training programs end-to-end, including enrollment, scheduling, budget management, and post-training evaluation
- Continuously assess organizational training needs and proactively source relevant learning opportunities to bridge skill gaps

### Community Engagement & Social Contribution Education Programs
- Plan and execute social contribution (CSR) education programs in partnership with diverse external organizations including libraries, schools, local government, NGOs, and community institutions
- Design and manage year-long education programs in collaboration with public libraries and community partners — including curriculum development, scheduling, instructor coordination, and program evaluation
- Identify new partnership opportunities and build sustainable relationships with community organizations to expand the reach and impact of social contribution initiatives
