The catalog team is looking for a highly technical, AI-native leader who wants to be at the absolute frontier of applied AI and ship it at planetary scale. You and your team of engineers will take a well-established catalog orchestration platform and reinvent it as an AI-first system, one where LLMs and autonomous agents own ever-larger parts of the loop to enrich, validate, and self-heal the catalog in real time. You'll pioneer agentic workflows, model-driven orchestration, and human-in-the-loop guardrails to tackle some of the hardest architectural problems in the industry: reliability, latency, and trust at Amazon's scale. This is a rare opportunity to set the technical strategy for how AI reshapes commerce itself. You'll power Amazon's expansion into new countries, languages, physical stores, and product lines, and define what the catalog becomes in an agent-driven world. Your breadth of impact will range from how sellers and vendors list their products with Amazon's catalog, to how products move through Amazon's fulfillment centers and to how our shopping customers find and discover the products they love! As an SDM, you are empowered to: - Own the technical vision, strategy, planning, and prioritization for evolving the catalog orchestration platform — driving architectural decisions and end-to-end delivery as the system adapts to new classes of workloads. - Identify, assess, and mitigate risks — provide escalation management, anticipate tradeoffs, and balance business needs against technical constraints. - Create, maintain, and disseminate project information to stakeholders; drive alignment across engineering, science, and product teams. - Manage and grow a team of talented engineers — making great hiring decisions, setting goals, providing feedback, and managing performance. - Develop best practices to build and operate critical catalog platform services that handle both traditional low-latency workloads and ML-powered processing at scale. ## At a glance - Posted by the employer: Oct 9, 2026 - First seen by OpenNash: Oct 11, 2026 - Last checked: Oct 18, 2026 - Listed for: 9 days - Location: US, CA, Sunnyvale[Apply on Amazon’s careers site →](https://www.amazon.jobs/en/jobs/10574753/software-development-manager-amazon-product-catalog-contribution-and-item-pipelines) ## More jobs at Amazon ### [Embedded Software Dev Engineer, Ring](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/a320e865bbbbcb153baf/) US, CA, Sunnyvale ### [Embedded Software Development Engineer, Ring](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/3b8d3f578e4d00a1eb41/) US, CA, Sunnyvale ### [Embedded Software Development Engineer, Ring Team](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/feb30281c2de30d72523/) US, CA, Sunnyvale ### [Embedded Software Engineer, Leo Payload Software Systems](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/14ffd873496e41ce11c3/) US, CA, Sunnyvale ### [Manager III, Software Dev - AMZ10376304](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/90b41c8c240cfc24e20a/) US, CA, Sunnyvale ## Similar jobs at other companies ### [Senior Software Engineer, Contact Center Platforms (Java/AWS/Amazon Connect)](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/ntt/jobs/24a713cd9cf528ae7fd4/) NTT · Plano, TX, US, United States ### [VP, Medicine Development Leader - Specialty Product Development](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/gsk/jobs/011a199293172e2256a4/) GSK · Collegeville, Pennsylvania, United States of America ### [Product Development Test Engineering](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/qualcomm/jobs/00e0c831c8d5a35e2a27/) Qualcomm · Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico ### [New Product Development Engineer](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/eaton/jobs/c13e79de275730618a91/) Eaton · Jackson, Mississippi, USA ### [SBA Product Business Development Ofc Sr](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/huntington-bank/jobs/0dab0c06121ec3d39ece/) Huntington Bank · TX [Jobs in Sunnyvale, CA](/locations/us/ca/sunnyvale/)[Jobs in California](/locations/us-ca/)[Software Engineering jobs](/functions/software-engineering/) OpenNash lists jobs from employers’ own careers sites and does not handle applications.
