We are looking for a Senior Bid Manager – Services, based in Paris, to join our Bid Factory / Product Line organisation. Your future role You will join a challenging and highly skilled team that delivers expertise in competitive tendering for the Alstom global organisation. As part of the Central team, you will act as a center of excellence and a coach for the regions, helping them build strong, compliant, and highly competitive bids. You will collaborate and influence partners across multiple functions (Engineering, Quality, Cost, Delivery & Performance, Finance, Procurement, Operations). Day‑to‑day, you will support regional tender teams in the preparation of their submissions, ensuring alignment with Product Line strategy, competitive positioning, and governance. In this role, you will: Support regions in preparing competitive Services offers and improving their competitiveness vs. market benchmarks. Guide regional teams in preparing and securing the Bid Milestones. Ensure consistency of costing, pricing, and technical inputs across tenders. Challenge assumptions and strengthen bid content to reduce risks and maximize win probability. Lead or co‑lead strategic or complex bids directly from the Bid Factory. Support the Tender Leader in aligning with the Services Product Line and consolidating inputs for decision making. Contribute to win–loss assessments and competitiveness improvement actions. Drive effective communication and coordination across multiple stakeholders. In this role, you directly contribute to Alstom’s tender competitiveness and to the growth of the Services business worldwide. All about you We value passion and attitude over experience. Instead, we look for the mindset and capabilities that help you succeed and grow in this role. ### Education Engineering, business, or related field - Master’s degree preferred Skills - Strong knowledge of the tendering process and competency in competitive bid development Understanding of Quality/Cost metrics and value drivers for Services activities - Ability to challenge cost inputs, technical assumptions, and commercial proposals Good knowledge of engineering, maintenance, procurement, and operations principles - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills - Ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines Capacity to coach, support, and influence teams across regions Experience At least 3 Services bids managed within Alstom, ideally with winning outcomes Previous experience in Bid Management, Project Management, or related roles in Services or industrial environments Experience working in international and multicultural environments - Knowledge of Alstom tender governance and costing methodologies is a strong advantage Things you’ll enjoy A dynamic, international tendering journey — the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career Working with a highly skilled and collaborative Bid Factory team Exposure to strategic, high‑value, and complex Services tenders Learning from multiple regions and influencing competitiveness worldwide Flexible and hybrid work environment Opportunities for career development within the Services Product Line and beyond You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
