## Job description

### Minimum qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or 12 years of experience in a senior role creating strategy and designing products. 15 years of experience leading UX teams or design portfolios. Experience managing and growing cross-discipline UX organizations, including senior managers and their teams.

### Preferred qualifications

Experience managing distributed teams and the ability to grow strong teams and leaders. Understanding of roles, methods, processes and best practices for user-centered design. Proven ability to work in a rapidly-changing industry and manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty. Prove track record of cross-functional collaboration, partnerships, and leadership within a matrixed organization. Expertise or interest in short-form video and Gen AI creation.

As the Senior Director, UX, Emerging Experience and Community, you will be responsible for the user experience of YouTube's mobile creation and community experiences - including Shorts, YouTube Create, and formats like Live and Posts. You'll also be responsible for leading the next generation of AI-powered creation tools. In this role, you'll drive a user-centered strategic vision, influence cross-functional partners and hold a high bar for product excellence to deliver experiences for YouTube's viewers and creators.
