The Data Center Engineering team takes the physical design of our data centers into the future. Our lab mirrors a research and development department -- cutting-edge strategies are born, tested and tested again. Along with a team of great minds, you take on complex topics like how we use power or how to run state-of-the-art, environmentally-friendly facilities. You're a visionary who optimizes for efficiencies and never stops seeking improvements -- even small changes that can make a huge impact. You generate ideas, communicate recommendations to senior-level executives and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians. With your technical expertise, you ensure compliance with codes and standards, develop infrastructure improvements and serve as an expert in your specialty (e.g., cooling, electrical). As a DCS Electrical Engineer, you will be technically competent and focused on field-level implementation and operational support of Google’s expanding data center portfolio. You will be responsible for on-site delivery and streamlining of construction and operational processes to bring our capacity to market safely, quickly, and with high quality. In this role, you will act as a strong communicator and collaborator, working comfortably alongside engineers, executive managers, and trades to execute on these critical projects. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. ### US $144000 - $208000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more about benefits at Google. ## At a glance - Posted by the employer: Not stated - First seen by OpenNash: Oct 30, 2026 - Last checked: Oct 30, 2026 - Listed for: Under a day - Location: Kansas, USA[Apply on Alphabet’s careers site →](https://www.google.com/about/careers/applications/jobs/results/111963458357863110-data-center-electrical-engineer-metro-lead) ## Hiring at Alphabet - Open jobs: 3,591 - New in the last 7 days: After two weekly collections - Tracked since: Aug 20, 2026 [All Alphabet jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/alphabet/) · [Weekly hiring report](/reports/hiring/) ## More jobs at Alphabet ### [Data Center Services Mechanical Engineer Metro Lead](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/alphabet/jobs/daf99e02ce43b8eb7459/) Kansas, USA ### [Data Center Services Metro Lead](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/alphabet/jobs/66fe159f55974aa96bde/) Kansas, USA ### [Public Affairs Manager, Regional Data Centers](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/alphabet/jobs/faf14fb95a03e9b79ee1/) Kansas, USA ### [AI Data Engineer I, Professional Services, Google Cloud](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/alphabet/jobs/9044563d8237440c60ec/) Austin, TX, USA +1 more ### [AI and Data Governance Lead](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/alphabet/jobs/08f35ff5f8a91988c2f8/) Sunnyvale, CA, USA +1 more ## Similar jobs at other companies ### [Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer (Electrical) IV](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/equinix/jobs/df8d78213cf6b5e4ab53/) Equinix · Secaucus, New Jersey, United States ### [Data Center - VCDC (CRAH) Submittal Engineer - Electrical](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/trane-technologies/jobs/4006df3d684397239624/) Trane Technologies · Lexington, Kentucky, United States of America ### [Electrical Design Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering, Data Center Design Engineering](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/amazon/jobs/e51dcb24a908cc0799e1/) Amazon · US, VA, Herndon ### [Data Center Engineer - Elk River, MN Data Center](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/target/jobs/54bfe9c20dae67cb63a6/) Target · Elk River, MN ### [Electrical Engineer, Data Center Electrical Design Engineering](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/meta-platforms/jobs/ffb73c8d29e7515720ef/) Meta Platforms · Menlo Park, CA OpenNash lists jobs from employers’ own careers sites and does not handle applications.
