We're looking for great communicators who can understand complex issues and explain them in person and also via well written, simple blog posts, FAQs, video scripts and more. As a key member of the Google Cloud Communications team and dotted line to our Global Sustainability Team, you will support our sustainability and infrastructure efforts. You will heavily focus on socializing our strategy, ambitions, and progress, while also assisting with key sustainability and infrastructure milestones and providing agile reactive support. Working closely with cross-functional partners, you will help educate the market on the environmental benefits of Google’s initiatives around the world and how we build data centers and other computing infrastructure with sustainability at the forefront, driving stories in local, state, national and global media. Additionally, you will maintain strong relationships with journalists and influencers, develop written materials and messaging, and project-manage announcement execution. A major part of the role is moving fast while collaborating effectively across multiple teams in the organization. We help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders--and our own employees--about the benefits of Google's products, our distinctive company culture/values and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. You are quick-witted, entrepreneurial and intellectually curious. To succeed in this role, you are willing to try new things and can manage numerous projects with tight deadlines. Things happen quickly at Google, and to do great work, you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally with partners across PR, Communications, Marketing, Product, and beyond.
