Experience in software development workflows (code review, testing) and define quality metrics for automated systems. Experience leading the end-to-end delivery and technical strategy for mobile and web applications, ensuring architectural alignment across Android, iOS, and Web platforms. ### Preferred qualifications 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience building and scaling evaluation infrastructure for ML/AI systems, including benchmark design, metrics definition, and quality tracking. Experience owning quality and latency tracking systems, identifying underperforming capabilities and curating the optimal configuration. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, adapt to change, and provide flexible thought partnership in a rapidly evolving landscape. About the job A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. As a Google Chat Technical Program Manager driving Chat Agent Quality, you will join the organization to help build out the Chat infrastructure that will improve Chat Agentic Quality, from helping transform our evaluation infrastructure, dive into user feedback processing at scale, or driving reliability and scalability efforts Chat grows, or supporting latency efforts. You will be responsible for a large portfolio of infrastructure, and direction of the client and backend services that keeps Google Chat running reliably, performant, scalable and enables our developers to develop with high velocity and good experience. You will collaborate with talented engineering leads to understand and identify gaps and opportunities across our infrastructure and drive projects throughout the project lifecycle. Manage project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders and improving processes. You will partner with other mission teams in Chat, and drive cross-mission and cross-product collaborations. In Google Chat, all technical program managers will work on transforming Chat with Agentic Features. Delivering Chat delight to users, Chat operations and Chat AI transformations. AI will change the future of work in profound ways, and our products— Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, Sheets, Vids and Meet are at the forefront. From pre-computed summaries for email threads, summaries for meetings, and videos created from a document using lifelike AI avatars, our AI opportunity is huge.
