## Job description

### Minimum qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or a related field. 12 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a specific focus on silicon/CPU. Experience in people management.

### Preferred qualifications

Master's degree in a technical or engineering field or MBA. Experience interfacing with and establishing relationships with senior management at both supplier and customer levels. Deep knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, quality standards, processor architectures, server infrastructure, and the broader data center computing ecosystem. Solid understanding of the CPU landscape, data center architectures, including silicon processes, packaging technologies, IP, manufacturing, and software/application layers.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, manage budgets, and perform complex cost modeling. Proven success in developing and executing sourcing strategies that deliver measurable results. About the job Commodity Managers work with Engineering teams to make sure Google has the supplies and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams. As a Commodity Manager, you use your wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our global -- and growing -- infrastructure.
