Experience in the security domain, search infrastructure, or cyber security. Experience interacting with different technical and non-technical audiences spanning all functions and organizational levels. Experience influencing and delivering solutions in a highly complex and changing environment. About the job Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams. Search is in the midst of a generational transformation. We are evolving beyond a traditional search engine into a layered AI system—from AI Overviews to the rise of AI agents—that reshapes how billions of people interact with information. In this role, you will serve as a strategic people leader capable of navigating a high-velocity environment and building scalable Security programs from the ground up. You will support a talented Technical Program Management team responsible for driving cross-organizational engineering programs that handle ambitious technical challenges. This role requires navigating ambiguity, driving execution, and partnering with senior leadership within Search and across other product areas.
