## Job description

### Minimum qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in a commercial strategy or business operations role within technology, retail, or e-commerce, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree. Experience leading cross-functional projects and presenting to leadership. Experience managing e-commerce levers (traffic, conversion, average order value) and working with digital retail profit and loss (P&L) structures.

### Preferred qualifications

MBA from an institution or experience at a leading management consultancy. Experience working within European markets with established regional retail knowledge. Familiarity with the engaged consumer hardware landscape, high-stakes product launches, and seasonal promotional cycles. A ‘hypothesis driven’ problem solver with exceptional investigative and project management skills and ability to create order and structure from ambiguity.

A proactive individual with a bias for action, a strategic mindset, and the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy in a changing environment. Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to synthesize commercial and operational data into insightful, executive-level narratives. About the job Google Store is Google’s owned and operated e-commerce channel for Google hardware devices and services.

Our mission is to deliver excellent ecommerce experiences for our customers and maximize first party hardware device and service sales. We strive to have polished end user experiences offering the best of Google. The Category and Strategy Manager is a role driving growth for the Google Store as it scales across the EMEA region. The team manages all sites across EMEA and is responsible for driving an optimal customer experience and business across the breadth of Google’s device and services portfolio.

This includes Pixel phones, buds and smartwatches plus Fitbit and Google Nest portfolios. You will lead a category and be accountable for driving the commercial success across the region. You'll be involved in product launches, promotional planning and forecasting. You will be expected to drive trading performance to achieve quarterly business goals whilst improving the customer experience at every step. You will act as a primary contact for Google Store and partner cross-functionally with marketing, logistics, customer service, demand planning, product, engineering, legal and finance and country teams.

You will lead cross-functional task forces to drive category growth, develop the team’s goals and ensure we exceed our quarterly business goals. Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. Our Devices & Services team combines the best of Google AI, Software, and Hardware to create radically helpful experiences for users. We research, design, and develop new technologies and hardware to make our user's interaction with computing faster, seamless, and more powerful.

Whether finding new ways to capture and sense the world around us, advancing form factors, or improving interaction methods, the Devices & Services team is making people's lives better through technology.
