With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally. Platforms Storage builds storage solutions for all Google services. The SSD Software team develops features across the Linux I/O stack, controller software, firmware, and next-gen storage tools, while innovating on flash interfaces and offloads for Cloud environments to maximize performance, TCO, and security. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers across horizontal storage subsystems and vertical product development. You will manage project goals, contribute to product strategy, and drive complex technical initiatives from concept to fleet release. You will also provide technical guidance, manage budget and resourcing, and mentor engineers through critical integration and security challenges. The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible.
