The Technician III, Chemical Production Operations (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for handling tasks related to the production of medical devices products or implantable lenses, including working with various chemicals, mixing compounds, and maintaining equipment. You will be expected to apply advanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. In this role, a typical day will include: - Handle tasks related to the production of medical devices products or implantable lenses - Work with various chemicals and mix compound ingredients for various formulations - Perform general maintenance on equipment such as balances, homogenizers, chromatography column, and moisture analyzer. - Properly dispose of laboratory waste and reagents in accordance with procedure - Maintain excellent housekeeping practices to ensure a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment. - Follow standard operating procedures to meet current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) while maintaining accurate records - Ensure compliance with Good Practice (GXP) requirements by inspecting products, following standard operating procedures, and addressing deviations and issues promptly - Work in compliance with the HSE Manual and all documented procedures, promptly reporting any HSE concerns. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling - Commit to continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements. ### WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON: - Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Analyst, Chemical Engineering, or Biochemistry.
