When we come together – where every voice is heard and everyone knows they belong and matter – we create solutions that launch people into space, support lifesaving care in hospitals, and enable the construction of groundbreaking, world scale production facilities. ### Reimagine What’s Possible POSITION SUMMARY This position will report to the Sr. Buyer, and this Buyer acts as the purchasing agent, negotiator and dealmaker as the Buyer buys products or services for the company for use in everyday operations. This Buyer shall be responsible for evaluating suppliers based on the price, quality, and speed of delivery of their products and services. Likewise, conduct interviews with the vendors and visit suppliers' plants and distribution centres to examine and learn about products, services, terms of payments and prices. ### PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Develop purchasing strategies and identify buying trends to keep the business profitable. Conduct self-guided research to become familiar with what products are available as well as their costs and benefits. Search available products to find the best combination of quality, price, and delivery. Negotiate policies and contracts with various suppliers. Manage deliveries to confirm compliance with contracts. Monitor stock levels and verify purchase requisitions. Keep detailed records and prepare and submit necessary reports. Maintain professional relationships with all key suppliers. Attend various supplier plants and vendor interviews to stay informed about changes and advancements in the industry. Manage the buying process for a given set of goods in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets. Provide technical / commercial assistance to request departments to develop awareness of manufacturing processes and improve product knowledge. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. Manage problems and schedule changes and ensure changes are reflected within the ERP systems. ### SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES Honest and trustworthy. Respectful and Presentable. Self-starter, pro-active at gathering information & understanding subject matters. Good skills at organizing, analysing, and coordinating. Good communication, cooperation, teamwork, and presentation skills. Skill in using Internet and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power-point). Knowledge of the Saudi market vendors and suppliers. ### MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: At least 5 years of purchasing/logistics or commercial work-related experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred / Diploma Minimum (In Business, Engineering, Technical disciplines). Proficiency in English (Reading and Writing).
