Join us. ### Job Description AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in New York, New York October 15th and 16th. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027. The event kicks off on Thursday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines. On Friday, interviews will take place at our New York office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities. AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Vertical Transportation Engineer to be based in our New York, NY office. _This position is expected to begin Spring/Summer 2027._ The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: - Builds analytic and design skills. - Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer. - Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. - Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. - Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems. - Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision. ### Qualifications Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or in another related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. - Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required for this position. ### Preferred Qualifications - Experience working with escalators, elevators and moving walkways is a plus. + 3D modeling experience is a plus. - A strong analytical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles. - A desire to work constructively in a team, finding holistic building design solutions in a multidisciplinary environment. - The ability to communicate clearly, through presentations and in writing, with clients and design teams, both internal and external. - Able to understand the balance of engineering priorities on differing projects. - Able to quickly develop successful client relationships. - Knowledge/experience in utilizing design software including passenger traffic analysis software (ELEVATE), AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, Word, Excel and Outlook. ### Additional Information - Relocation assistance is not available for this position. - Sponsorship for U.S. Employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. - THIS POSTING IS FOR A CURRENT VACANCY, AND AECOM INTENDS TO FILL THIS POSITION NO SOONER THAN JUNE 1 2027.
