With four IG rated businesses, it is the only Infrastructure Investment Grade issuer in India. ### Adani Solar Adani Solar is India's 1st and largest vertically integrated solar PV manufacturer with 4 GW cells & modules and 2 GW of ingots & wafers manufacturing capacities Job Purpose: The job purpose of a Shift Engineer - Cluster - Backend in the cell process is to lead and oversee the backend production operations of solar cell manufacturing. This role involves managing and optimizing critical processes like fine line printing, firing, work on completion of already defined DOEs and report compilation like screen design, paste development, ensuring efficient production, maintaining high product efficiency, promoting a safe work environment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet production targets and industry standards effectively. ## Responsibilities ### Safety and Compliance Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards, conducting regular audits and training to maintain a safe work environment. Proactively identify risks and implement corrective actions to ensure full compliance with safety regulations. ### Production Oversight Supervise backend production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and targets while optimizing process efficiency and resource utilization. ### Process Management Manage critical processes like doping, passivation, and firing to maintain high-quality standards, implement SOPs for consistency, and optimize production efficiency. ### Implementing SPC Tools Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to monitor and control process parameters effectively. ### Quality Assurance Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to meet industry standards, address deviations promptly, and maintain product quality through corrective actions and performance tracking. ### Team Leadership Lead and support a team of technicians and operators, foster a safe and collaborative work environment, and provide training to enhance skills and productivity. ### Problem Solving and Troubleshooting Identify and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime, collaborate with maintenance teams for equipment reliability, and ensure continuous production flow. ### Health and Environmental Compliance Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, promote safe work practices, and implement measures to minimize environmental impact during production. ### Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate records of production activities, generate shift reports, and analyze data to track performance metrics and support decision-making processes. ### Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for process optimization, reduce costs, and improve efficiency through root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and participating in improvement projects. Key Stakeholders ### Internal - Cluster Manager - Cell Process Technicians and Operators within Cell Process Quality Control Inspectors Key Stakeholders ### External - Equipment Suppliers Maintenance Contractors Regulatory Authorities ## Qualifications ### Educational Qualification B.Tech – Electronics/Chemical / Metallurgy/ Renewable Energy Desired Qualification: BE/Btech Work Experience (Range of years): Min 2 - 5 years of experience in managing backend Process activities, focusing on SPC Control, yield improvement, and process optimization.
