Our 115,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries. ### JOB DESCRIPTION The Opportunity The Sr. Embedded Software Engineer oversees the design, development, and validation of software for embedded systems, ensuring compliance with FDA requirements. They play a crucial role in software design, coding, and validation, address moderate scope problems, and participating in software development activities under guidance and mentoring junior engineers. Adherence to FDA-compliant Design Control procedures and proficiency in software implementation are key aspects of the role. What you’ll work on Design, implement, and evaluate software using languages like C, C++, C#, and Python. Assist in preparing software design requirements and specifications per Abbott's design development process. Evaluate selected designs through testing and documentation, addressing moderate scope problems. Participate in software development, verification, and validation under guidance. Adhere to FDA-compliant Design Control procedures for software development. Demonstrate proficiency in software implementation.
